iTunes Registry understands me
I just registered my meager iTunes catalog with the Internet iTunes Registry, and it spit out this little analysis of my listening habits:
You don’t have enough song ratings to be very good at this, but I’ll try. I can’t determine your favorite genre, but your favorite artist is Common which is weird since you’ve spent more time listening to Pixies , yet you have more Nirvana than anything else (in this genre), and you have more Alternative & Punk songs than anything else. Outkast ain’t too bad, either.
It’s more difficult to get publications to focus on issues that are more critical. It’s never been easy, and I think in the last few years it’s gotten more difficult as society becomes more obsessed with entertainment, celebrity and fashion. Advertisers are tired of having their products displayed next to images of human tragedy; they feel that it somehow detracts from the salability of their products.
