Will Alsop, Terry Farrell, Richard MacCormac, Rick Mather and Ted Cullinan are big names if you follow architecture. Otherwise, they just aren’t. But they can pull much more water than the oft lusted for “celebrity” statement because they actually are involved in things like building, development, industry and thus economy. So when they issue a challenge to fellow Israeli architects to cease work that “excludes and oppresses” Palestinians, and focus on the work of expanding the Ma’ele Adumi settlement on stolen land as a potential hate crime which is clearly unethical, immoral and contravene universally recognised professional codes of conduct,” it’s interesting to design nerds like me. — Link
